General

  • This ligament is a strong, fibrous band[2]
  • Attaches proximally to the styloid of the distal ulna and extends distally to the triquetrum
  • Oblique nature of the ligament ensures that the hand follows the radius during pronation of the forearm

Function

  • Strengthens the articular capsule of the radiocarpal joint
