Purpose
- Evaluate the Patellofemoral Joint as a cause of knee pain
Description
- The patient is supine
- Knee extended in neutral position
- Grasp patella with one hand
- Gently displace in all directions to assess surface cartilage of patella
- Positive test
- Pain
- Often associated with crepitus/grinding
Pathology
- Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome
- Chondromalacia Patellae
- Patellofemoral Osteoarthritis
- Patellar Instability
