• Peroneus Longus
• Fibularis Longus
• Musculus peroneus longus
• Musculus fibularis longus

General

• Superficial muscle in the lateral compartment of the leg
• Primarily involved in plantarflexion and eversion of the foot and ankle

Origin

• Fibula (head and proximal 2/3 along the lateral aspect)
• Intermuscular Septa

Insertion

• Medial Cuneiform
• Plantar aspect of 5th Metatarsal

Actions

• Plantar Flexion and Eversion of Foot
• Stabilizes longitudinal and transverse arches of foot

Vascular Supply

• Fibular Artery

Innervation

• Superficial Fibular Nerve
