- Superficial muscle in the lateral compartment of the leg
- Primarily involved in plantarflexion and eversion of the foot and ankle
Origin
- Fibula (head and proximal 2/3 along the lateral aspect)
- Intermuscular Septa
Insertion
- Medial Cuneiform
- Plantar aspect of 5th Metatarsal
Actions
- Plantar Flexion and Eversion of Foot
- Stabilizes longitudinal and transverse arches of foot

- Fibular Artery
