Purpose


Description

  • The patient is supine
  • Hip is flexed to 45°, knee flexed to 90°
  • The examiner grasps the proximal tibia and foot and applies an external rotation
  • Then, posterior directed force is applied to the anterior tibial tuberosity
  • Positive Test
    • Increased external rotation compared to the contralateral side
    • Increased in pain
  • Compare to the contralateral knee
