Purpose
- Evaluate the posterior glenoid labrum as a cause of the patients shoulder pain
Description
- The patient is supine
- Abduct the arm to 90 degrees, flex to 30 slightly anterior to the scapular pain
- Stabilize the elbow/forearm with one hand
- Place the other hand on the humeral head
- Apply a posterior directed force through the long axis of the humerus
- Positive test
- Reproduction of the patients symptoms
