Purpose

  • Evaluate the Scaphoid as a cause of the patient's wrist pain

Description

  • Examiner applies longitudinal or axial pressure down thumb to compress scaphoid
  • Positive test
    • Pain in the anatomical snuffbox

    • Specificity: 55%
    • LR+: 1.4
    • LR-: 0.7
