Scapular Dyskinesis Test

Purpose
- Evaluate for scapular dysfunction
Description
- Stand behind the patient with their shirt off
- Have them raise their arm in forward flexion to maximum elevation
- Lower the arm to rest
- Repeat 3-5 times
- Positive test
- Abnormal scapular motion
Modification
- Repeat the test with 3-5 pounds of weight in each hand
