Purpose


Description

  • Patient retracts both scapulae “pinching” them together
  • May also “pinch” examiner’s index finger between them
  • Positive test
    • Weakness or asymmetry

Modification

  • Burning pain while holding that position for only 15 - 20 seconds
    • Indicates deconditioned scapular musculature
