• Group of muscles which connect the scapula to the proximal humerus
• Act on and stabilize the glenohumeral joint, support the shoulder girdle
• Also referred to as the intrinsic muscles of the shoulder

• Rotator Cuff
  • Supraspinatus: abduction
  • Infraspinatus: external rotation
  • Teres Minor: external rotation
  • Subscapularis" internal rotation
• Coracobrachialis: flexion, adduction
• Deltoid: flexion, extension, abduction
• Teres Major: extension, adduction
