- Scapulothoracic Bursa
General
- Refers to a number of bursa that allow for movement of the scapulothoracic joint
Major Bursa
- Infraserratus (scapulothoracic) bursa: between the serratus anterior, chest wall
- Supraserratus (subscapularis) bursa: between subscapularis, serratus anterior
Minor Bursa, variably present
- Two at the superomedial angle of the scapula, either superior and/or inferior to serratus anterior
- Inferior angle: between serratus anterior and the chest wall
- Scapulotrapezial/trapezoid: between medial spine of the scapula, trapezius
