General
- Broad muscle in the posterior forearm
- Responsible for rotating the radius laterally, bringing it into supination
Origin
- Proximal Ulna (supinator crest)
- Lateral epicondyle of Humerus
- Radial collateral ligament
- Annular ligament
Insertion
- Proximal 1/3 of the Radius (anterolateral and posterior surfaces)
Actions
- Supination of forearm
Vascular Supply
- Radial Recurrent Artery
Innervation
- Radial Nerve (C5-C6)
