Purpose
- Evaluate the superior glenoid labrum as a cause of the patients shoulder pain
Description
- The patient is standing
- Abduct and laterally rotate the arm to 90 degrees
- Elbow is extended, forearm supinated
- Examiner places one hand on the scapula and clavicle to stabilize them
- The other hand grasps the forearm
- The examiner then applies an adducting force to the forearm while the patient resists
- Positive test
- Reproduction of the patients symptoms
