Gross Anatomy
- Covered by tibionavicular ligament, tibiospring ligament
- Short, thin and connects medial malleolus to anterior talus
Attachments
- Origin: Anteroinferior part of medial malleolus
- Insertion: anterior to deep posterior tibiotalar ligament on anterosuperior talar body
Variant Anatomy
- Absent in 10% of cases in cadaveric studies
