- Flexor digiti minimi brevis arises from two adjacent sites[1][2]
- Base of the fifth metatarsal
- Tendon sheath of peroneus longus (fibularis longus)
Insertion
- Lateral aspect of the base of proximal phalanx of fifth toe
Actions
- Flexion of fifth toe at the metatarsophalangeal joint
Vascular Supply
- Lateral plantar artery (branch of the posterior tibial artery)
