Meniscopatellar Ligament
Description

Name
- Meniscopatellar ligament
- Ligamentum meniscopatellare
- Medial patellomeniscal ligament (MPML))
General
- Connects the medial meniscus to the distal pole of the patella
- Plays a role in patellar stability
- One of the secondary stabilizers to medial patellar restraint
- Forms part of the medial patellar retinaculum
Gross Anatomy
- Typically 5.7 mm proximal to the distal border of the patella[3]
- Characterized by dense connective tissue
Clinical Significance
- Needs to be updated
