Gross Anatomy
- Origin: Oblique line of thyroid cartilage
- Insertion: Inferior border of body and greater horn of hyoid bone
Action
- Depresses hyoid bone
- Elevates larynx

Vascular Supply
- Branches of:
- Lingual arteries
- Superior thyroid arteries
