Gross Anatomy
- All three ligaments originate at the fovea of the ulnar head, base of the ulnar styloid
- Extend in a fan-like distribution to insert on the palmer aspect of the triquetrum, capitate and lunate
- These ligaments merge firmly with the Palmer Radioulnar Ligament
- The ligaments are often confluent and indistinguishable from each other
Function
- Contributes to coordination of the distal radioulnar joint, ulnocarpal joint
- Prevent dorsal migration of ulna
