From WikiSM

Description

Dorsal radioulnar ligament
Anatomy of the TFCC including the dorso radioulnar ligament
Anatomic relationship between ECU sheath floor, prestyloid recess, and triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC), which comprises ulnocarpal ligamentous complex (UCLC), disk, and palmar and dorsal radioulnar (RU) ligaments.[1]
The dorsal radiocarpal ligament, dorsal distal radioulnar ligament and dorsal intercarpal ligament[2]

Name

  • Dorsal Radioulnar Ligament (DRUL)
  • Ligamentum Radioulnare Dorsale
  • Posterior Radioulnar Ligament
  • Dorsal radioulnar ligament of the TFCC
  • Dorsal radioulnar component of the TFCC
  • Dorsal distal radioulnar ligament
  • Dorsal DRUJ ligament
  • Posterior distal radioulnar ligament
  • Dorsal radioulnar capsular ligament

Gross Anatomy

Anatomic Relationships

  • Intimately related to the volar radioulnar ligament
  • During pronation, volar ligament is lax and dorsal ligament tightens
  • During supination, dorsal ligament relaxes and volar ligament tightens
