Gross Anatomy
- Hourglass shaped ligament
- Helps support the Calcaneocuboid Joint and thus the Chopart Joint
Attachments
- Proximal: plantar aspect of calcaneus, just proximal to the short plantar ligament
- Insert: cuboid ridge with variable fan shaped attachments to the 2-5th metatarsal bases
Variant Anatomy
- Different attachments at the metatarsal bases
- Can also attach to the peroneus longus tendon sheath
