Gross Anatomy

• Hourglass shaped ligament
• Helps support the Calcaneocuboid Joint and thus the Chopart Joint

Attachments

• Proximal: plantar aspect of calcaneus, just proximal to the short plantar ligament
• Insert: cuboid ridge with variable fan shaped attachments to the 2-5th metatarsal bases

Variant Anatomy

• Different attachments at the metatarsal bases
• Can also attach to the peroneus longus tendon sheath
