Purpose
- Evaluate the Lunotriquetral Joint as a cause of the patients wrist pain
- Assesses the stability of the Lunotriquetral Ligament which stabilizes the joint space between the Lunate and Triquetrum
Description
- Patient is seated or standing
- Pronate the affected hand and stabilize the lunate
- Push up on the triquetrum and down on the lunate
- Observe the patient for tenderness or pain
- Compare with contralateral hand
- Positive test:
- Pain
- Subluxation
- Crepitus
