General

Attachments

  • Originates at the radial/ulnar surfaces of the distal pole of the scaphoid
  • Inserts distally at the volar/radial surfaces off the trapezium, volar surface of the trapezoid

MRI Features

  • Best appreciated in coronal, sagittal or 3D imaging or on MR arthrography[3]
  • Appears as a hypointense structure
