Triquetrocapitate Ligament

The palmar midcarpal ligaments including Scaphotrapeziotrapezoid Ligament, Scaphocapitate Ligament, Triquetrocapitate Ligament, Triquetrohamate Ligament[1]

Names

  • Triquetrocapitate ligament

General

Gross Anatomy

  • Attaches proximally to the triquetrum at its distal/radial corner
  • Attaches distally to the ulnar side of the capitate
  • Runs radially to the triquetrohamate ligament

MRI Features

  • Best viewed in the coronal plane, aided by ulnar deviation
  • More easily viewed with MR Arthrography[2]
